FAQ

Audio to MIDI, without vague promises

How accurate is this MP3 to MIDI converter?

There is no single accuracy number that applies to every recording. Clean solo instruments usually transcribe better than full songs with drums, reverb, distortion, or several overlapping instruments. Review and edit the MIDI in your DAW.

Does the audio leave my device?

No. The model and application code are downloaded to your browser, then the audio is decoded and processed locally. This page does not upload the selected recording.

Can I use it as a WAV to MIDI converter?

Yes. WAV, MP3, FLAC, OGG, and supported M4A files follow the same local audio to MIDI process.

Will it separate every instrument into its own track?

No. This MIDI converter detects pitched notes in the combined recording and writes one MIDI track. It does not perform stem separation or instrument labeling.

Why can a valid M4A file fail?

M4A is a container that can hold different codecs. The file works only when your browser can decode the codec inside it. Converting it to WAV is the most reliable fallback.
